Fall Rifle Range Policy:

Due to increased usage in the fall, use of the 500-600-yard ranges will be restricted on Fridays and Saturdays from September 1- November 1 until such time that all firing positions are able to use the same line.

Also, at any time of the year, if you are using the 500-600-yard range and another member comes to the closed gate, he or she will honk the car horn three times, to let you know that they are there. As soon as possible, go to the gate and talk with the other member. Please work out a way in which all members are able to shoot safely.  All people must be behind the firing line.

Re-Orientation Policy:

In order to renew your membership in 2017 you will need to attend a re-orientation/safety meetings before one of the quarterly meetings in 2016. Please see the calendar for dates and time.

Clarification on authorized targets and ammunition:

No explosive or incendiary targets, flares, tracer, or incendiary ammunition.

  • Rifle Range Update

8/12/17 UPDATE:  At this point, we have a plan.  We have a permit.  We have a contractor.  Unfortunately the latest bid came in much higher than we expected and financing is now an issue. If you have ideas for fundraising or are knowledgeable about grant writing, please contact the board.  We need a committee to develop a funding plan.  The plan is here.

  • Safety Meetings

At the 2014 fall meeting, the members present voted to require that in order to renew your membership each year you must attend one of the safety sessions we will hold the previous year.

    Upcoming Session:
(If you were unable to attend in 2016, attending in 2017 will allow you to renew your membership.)

There will be a Safety Meeting on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Range Building.  Members who need to attend a meeting to renew were sent an email. This meeting will NOT meet the requirements for a New Member Orientation.
